What is the @BayernWLAN?

The @BayernWLAN can be used without prior registration and is operated by Vodafone (on behalf of the Free State of Bavaria). Please note that the connection to the BayernWLAN is unencrypted. University members should always use use eduroam.

To connect, proceed as follows:

• Connect your device to the WLAN with the SSID @BayernWLAN
• Open any http page (not https!) in the browser, e.g. http://www.google.de, if this is not done automatically by the operating system
• Read and accept the user agreement by clicking on the „Connect“ button

Note: When using @BayernWLAN, your device is not in the university's internal network!
