Apply for a group mailbox certificate


Note:

These instructions are intended exclusively for staff at Landshut University of Applied Sciences. Students cannot apply for a certificate. Staff at the university should apply for a digital certificate for signing and encrypting emails. Only one certificate is required for each shared mailbox. Please therefore consult with your colleagues before applying. A valid certificate may already be available, which simply needs to be integrated into Outlook.

Application procedure:

1. Log in to SSO-Portal .

2. Click on the „Certificates“ tile there.



3. In the “Group Mailbox Certificate” section, click the “Download” button.



2. Enter the name of the desired group mailbox and then click on “Download”.




3. A confirmation prompt will appear. Click on “Yes, request certificate” to submit the request.





4. The application will then be forwarded to the relevant administrators. Please ensure that the following confirmation message is displayed:



5. Once your application has been successfully submitted, you can track its processing status in the overview.



As soon as the ‘Certificate ready’ button turns green, the certificate is available for download.



6. Download the certificate. Once the download is complete, you will receive an email containing the password for the certificate.



7. You can then install the certificate in Outlook. Please follow these instructions "How do I install my certificate in Outlook?".
