These instructions apply only to employees of HaW Landshut. Students have not have the opportunity to apply for a certificate.
Employees of the university should apply for a digital certificate for signing and encrypting emails. Only one certificate should be requested per shared mailbox. Please talk to your colleagues before applying for a certificate. A valid certificate may already exist and you may only need to link it to Outlook. Application:
1. log in to the SSO-Portal log in.
2. click on the „Certificates“ tile.
3. enter the desired shared mailbox in the „Download certificate for a shared mailbox“ area. Please note that your rights for the mailbox are automatically checked. You may only download a certificate for mailboxes that you are authorised to connect in Outlook.
4. you can then link the certificate in Outlook. Please follow the instructions „How do I install my certificate in Outlook?“.
