Landshut University of Applied Sciences has outsourced the e-mail service for all university members (including students) to the Leibniz Supercomputing Centre (LRZ).

Basic information about the LRZ mail service Exchange service can be found at Dokumentation of the LRZ Exchange e-mail system.

You will receive messages and notifications to your university e-mail address from various areas of the university, including the Student Service Centre, the faculties, the library and the IT service. We would like to point out that the e-mails of the university account therefore should be checked regularly regularly. Alternatively, students can use a forwarding via the SSO portal.

(In justified exceptional cases, the IT service can enable access to the „old HAW mailbox“ on request).

Is there a limit on mail storage? Yes, this is currently for employees and professors at 3 GB per mailbox. Students, external employees and functional mailboxes have a limit of 1 GB.

Only for employees/professors: If you still need more memory, the mailbox can be opened in exceptional cases on application to your head of department be extended. If necessary, please submit this request in good time so that we can plan for it in advance.
