Connection of a group mailbox in Outlook [HAW employees]
To be able to connect a group mailbox, you need the appropriate authorisation. You received this authorisation either when you were hired (settings form/by your line manager) or through approval by your line manager (via email to helpdesk@haw-landshut.de).

To set up, proceed as follows:
Start Outlook.
Click on file
,
continue to Account settings
and then on Account settings…
.
A new window opens Account settings
.
Here you select the tab Email
and then the button New…
.
Another window appears with Welcome to Outlook
.
Enter the email address of the group mailbox (e.g. xyz@haw-landshut.de) here.
Click on OK
.
Another window will appear Windows Security
window opens.
Enter your user password here, activate the option Save login data
and confirm with OK
.
A success message is then displayed. Close the dialogue with OK
to close the dialogue, close the Account settings
window by clicking on Close
and exit Outlook via File
→ Exit.
After restarting Outlook, the group mailbox will appear in the left-hand column and can be used.
