Office 365 Home Use (in preparation)

As part of the Microsoft licence agreement, Microsoft provides all students of HAW Landshut for the period of enrolment and all employees within the employment relationship the services of „Microsoft 365“.

This includes the following services (web application and local application if available):

  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Microsoft OneNote
  • Microsoft Access
  • Microsoft Publisher
  • Microsoft Outlook

Registration in the SSO portal is required to use „Microsoft 365“.

Registration for Microsoft 365:

1. log in to the SSO portal (see: SSO portal of HAW Landshut)

2. click on the „Account management“ tile:

and then on „My software accounts“:

3. tick the box next to „Microsoft 356“ and then save the changes.

You can log in to all Microsoft services under https://mysignins.microsoft.com as follows.

Example:

As password use your current university user password (nomenclature: s-abc1235 or abc1234).

  • For each user ID first name, surname, @az.haw-landshut.de Mail address and primary mail address are synchronised with the Azure AD.
  • On the day of the end of the contract or de-registration, the use of the account ends and it is prepared for deletion.
  • 90 days later, all data (account and content) permanently and irretrievably deleted.
  • After a further 90 days (i.e. 180 days after leaving), all metadata will also be permanently deleted.
  • Landshut University of Applied Sciences no backups of your data.

Central IT does not have the capacity to help you with software for private use and cannot provide provide support for the products available in the Office portal.
