Setting up eduroam for iOS devices

If you are not installing eduroam for the first time, but are adapting your configuration as part of the eduroam changeover, you must first remove the existing profile (see point 9) and then follow the same procedure as for a new installation. This requires access to the Internet - for example via BayernWLAN or via your mobile network operator.

1. open the page https://cat.eduroam.org in your browser:

2. select „Landshut University of Applied Sciences“ under „Home organisation“.

3. select an installer to download –> your iOS version:

4. confirm the download.

5. after successful download, the iOS profile manager starts automatically (Settings –>

General –> Profiles). Tap on „Install“.

6. you may be asked to enter your iOS security code (PIN).

7. if the „T-Telesec GlobalRoot Class 2“ certificate is not yet available on your iOS device, it must be added. Agree by tapping on „Install“.

8. you now authenticate yourself with your university user ID <Benutzerkennung>@haw-landshut.de and your university password and then tap on „Next“.

The WLAN eduroam should now work.

If not, this could be due to an older profile already being installed. To do this, remove the old profile and download a new one via https://cat.eduroam.de download a new one and install it according to the instructions listed.

Remove profile:

To do this, select „Settings“–>„WLAN“ and then tap on the circled „i“ next to „eduroam“

Tap on „Ignore this network“ and confirm the message with „Ignore“

In the settings –> General –> Profiles –> eduroam –> Remove profile
