Note: Since winter semester 2023, it is necessary to update the eduroam profile in the configuration, as new certificates are used.
If you are not carrying out an initial installation, but are adapting your configuration as part of an eduroam changeover, you must first remove the existing profile for the SSID „eduroam“ and then follow the procedure for a new installation. Please follow the instructions in this article under „2. Clean-up“.

1. please open the link above and click on the „eduroam“ button.
2. the installation file will be downloaded automatically (you may receive a dialogue for the storage location).
After the download, open the installation file:
These steps must be carried out in the installation dialogue:
Click on „Next“:
Print „OK“ to continue with the installation….
Enter your user name (without @haw-landshut.de, e.g. s-test
or abc12435
) and SSO password + repetition.
Click on „Install“.
If you receive this message eduroam
has now been set up successfully.
If your device does not automatically connect with the SSID eduroam ®
automatically, try connecting it via the WLAN icon in the systray. The option for automatic connection is also available here.

If your system has installed a profile that no longer works, please use these instructions and then follow the instructions in point 1.
Start the Windows settings:
Select the „Network and Internet“ area:
First select „WLAN“ in the left-hand bar, then „Manage known networks“ in the right-hand section:
A list of saved networks appears. Here you must remove the „eduroam“ network by clicking on „Do not save“.
After deleting the profile, the profile for the current network can be created by installing the current profile (e.g. using @BayernWLAN) the profile for eduroam
can be restored.
